The Annual Tug of War took place on 23^rd May and Jason, a current student, won the Strongest Man Competition third year in a row!

Our annual 5^th Graduation took place on April 16^th and was extremely successful!

Mr. and Miss STENDEN 2010

This function was successfully attended and supported in 2009 with a substantial profit being made for the University. This was the first Mr. and Miss STENDEN which took place on campus.

In 2010, the committee plans on hosting it at a larger venue which can accommodate a larger number of people. It will also be made open to the public

Monte Carlo Farewell:

An end of year function that saw off our fourth years, Monte Carlo was one of the best attended and most praised functions. It was the final function of the year and consisted of a complete rearrangement of the dining hall into a casino for the evening. Both staff and students attended in their best outfits.

The coming year, the size and general running of the event will be maintained as it is a more personal function. However, money raised at the games tables is forwarded to the 2^nd Year Cape Town Tour that will be held in the October holidays.

Touch Rugby and Volleyball Tournament:

This tournament is collectively held by the sports and entertainment committees. It was the first year that such a tournament was held and with a solid turn out and good weather, the whole of STENDEN were either participating or supporting on the day.

In 2010 the committee plans to open the event up to different organizations, schools and universities. It will be a charity event, with proceeds going to a charity of the committee’s choice.
