Guest Lectures
Been a fully international and multicultural university, Stenden South Africa welcomes and hosts several top guest speakers and lecturers within the hospitality industry.
Lodge and Tourism Management:
Our Lodge Management students have experienced wonderful talks ranging from conservation and the environment by Fanie Fouche (our local conservationist), and Keryn’s Dive School, where Keryn is a master on teaching our students organizational and leisure procedures, and team building.
We even have top property consultants for eg: Jodene Marais, taking our students to sectional titles and lecturing on property development. Our very own local Head of Tourism – Bev Young in Port Alfred, has many a time entertained our students and given exceptionally important facts, stories and information on our Tourism of our country.
Wine Module:
International Wine Connoisseurs have passed on their expertise, for example – Bruwer Raats, a top wine maker from Raats Family Wines from the Western Cape.
Cathy Van Zyl, the acclaimed UIC Wine master, is also a specialist guest lecturer at Stenden South Africa.
We have also had the pleasure of hosting Mr Karl Lambour also from the Western Cape Constantia Glen Wine Estates – our wine students learnt a wonderful amount of wine training with this expert
Every year our first year I.H.M. students undergo a 2 week Stephen Covey Training course, and this year we were very fortunate to introduce Harpinder Singh from Stenden Holland, who taught our students the Covey Way.
