Bali
The Island of the God’s
Bali – an island where serenity is a part of daily life and the tapestry of colors and textures is a metaphor for Bali itself. The wisdom of the elderly is transparent on their faces and the respect for them is event on the faces of the young.
Seen walking through forests and rice fields are beautifully dressed women with offerings on their heads as they make their way to the nearest temple. This is the Island of Bali, with a population of 3 million people; it is a part of the Republic of Indonesia. Bali is located at the westernmost part of the lesser Sunda Islands lying between Java to the west and Lombok to the east. If you have a day to spare, the island is small enough to drive around the entire coast, although it would be a long day!
Known for its highly developed arts; such as dance performances, sculpture, painting and music, it is no wonder it is the largest tourist destination in the country. Surfers travel from all over the world to catch a wave. 80 % of the economy is dependent on tourism and what better place to study hospitality.
Students can study Event Management or Spa and Health Management (in conjunction with Thailand). So be wooed by the magnetic charm of the “Island of the God’s,” simply because it is believed that God dwells in paradise.
